I mean, for your first try it isn’t bad. But for me, there’s some stuff left to be desired. I’m no expert on this genre, but I can try and at least give a bit of feedback. Also, I’m not telling you to go 100% with what I’m saying, but this might provide some of my insight.
In the buildup to the drop, I’d advise using some sort of snare, and then high passing it to build anticipation. Also, repeating the piano might not be a great idea. Others might get tired of it very quickly, but I honestly can’t think of much better. Maybe introducing the lead by fading it in slowly, and then having it at full volume by the start of the drop.
The drop isn’t terrible, but it feels like it could be a bit fiercer. Maybe going a bit harder on saws and trying to layer the synths could do you some favors. Or even choosing a puncher house drum. Idk. Experiment. Also, for the growls & fills, play around with them. Add new things, only repeating once every 4-8 bars. Mixing doesn’t really need any feedback though.
Where 1:45 is, could potentially be a breakdown part leading into a second drop if you ever decide to extend it. But as it stands, maybe the piano is a bit overdone at that point.
All in all, not bad for a first attempt at complextro. Not bad at all
